Without a VISION, the people perish Proverbs 29:18
God, in His infinite wisdom and unconditional love, has called every son and daughter of the faith to develop His special gifts entrusted to them. He tells His creation, "You didn't choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you." John 15:16 What a wonderful expression of love and confidence God shows us as He speaks to the prophet Jeremiah? "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you…" Jeremiah 1:5 But then God sealed His calling upon us when He tells us through Paul, "For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable." Romans 11:29 Paul says to us in these words that God does not change His mind about His call or promise to you. It is up to you to fulfill what God has called you to do.
As the Body of Christ, the Bride of Christ, we have been commissioned to go, teach and disciple. The WORD of God equips us for each of these tasks. The Body of Christ has an awesome task in these last and crucial days before Christ’s second coming. That task is to "build up one another into mature Christians and not as children, tossed to and fro by doctrine, trickery of men and deceitful plotting. We are to accomplish this task using the gifts and call upon each of our lives." Ephesians 4:12,14-16 A pastor, I have been given the challenging, yet awesome task of equipping (making ready) – imparting gifts into the Body of Christ to "build up one another." Through gifts of the Spirit, the commission to go teach and disciple those who are unsaved becomes possible. Within any body of people, there has to be VISION. In order for that VISION to become delight (received) - accomplished, there has to be order-instructions that His will be done.
Scripture tells us plainly, "Let all things be done decently and in order." 1 Corinthians 14:40 For the VISION to be fulfilled, it must be performed according to the order of God. I believe that God has impressed upon my heart a tremendous VISION for the Body of Christ for such a time as this. My sincere desire is to be obedient to His instructions and please Him daily.
